• The brain is the most complicated part of your body. It has the ability to send and receive an enormous amount of information.

• The brain is a wrinkly pink organ.

• The brain is made up of 60% fat and is also surrounded by fluid.

• It is protected by the skull which is made up of 22 bones.

• The biggest part of the brain is called the cerebrum which makes up to 85% of the brain's weight.

• The cerebrum is the thinking part of your brain.

• The brain has two hemispheres, left for analytical thoughts and the right for creative thoughts.

• Each side of the brain controls the opposite side of the body.

• The brain gets messages from your senses (seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching and moving). The messages travel from nerve cells all over your body.

• When we see things with our eyes we are actually seeing it upside down. It is our brain that changes it the right way so that we can see properly.
