Atmosphere -  A layer of gases that surrounds the Earth. It protects Earth from the suns harmful radiation and keeps the planet warm enough for life to exist.

Greenhouse gases - Gases, including carbon-dioxide methane, water vapour and nitrous oxide.

Ozone layer -  A part of the atmosphere that protects Earth by absorbing most of the suns harmful radiation.

Ice Age - A period of cold temperature in which ice sheets cover large parts of the earth.

Industrial Revolution - A period in the 18th and early 19th centuries when manufacturing changed from had production to machine production

Fossil Fuels - Substances such as coal and oil formed over millions of years from the remains of plants and animals.
