Sedimentary  rock.

  • Rocks on the earth's surface are worn down over time.
  • Some broken pieces of rock make their way down to the sea.
  • They become compressed and cemented and mixed with dead sea creatures.
  • They form layers.
  • Example Limestone,Sandstone

Sedimentary rocks are made up of bits of other rocks, fish bones, sand, seaweed etc. It is when the pressure of the ocean or seas compacts all these pieces and makes it into rock. Examples of sedimentary rocks is limestone and sandstone.
