Something that can help us make a decision is a moral decision-making process. These processes provide a path to follow when we are unsure about what to do.

STAR: Moral Decision-Making Process

STOP: you need to stop before you do anything. Taking a step back, in some cases, it might be necessary to cool off for a moment.

THINK: take in all the information. Think about the scenario from all angles, not just yours. Imagine how other people might feel. Think about the consequences.

ACT: make a decision. Act upon your decision. Take responsibility and ownership for your actions.

REFLECT: think deeply about what you have done and how you came to that decision. Are you happy with the outcome? If you had the chance would you do anything differently? If things did not work out, learn from this experience.
