You’re in Barajas airport, Madrid, having spent three weeks in Alcalá. You realise that you don’t have your passport. You ring the family you were staying with.
Estás en el aeropuerto de Barajas, después de pasar tres semanas en Alcalá. Te das
cuenta de que no tienes tu pasaporte. Llamas a la familia con la que vivías.
Tú: Hola señor/a Fernandez. Soy Daniel. Estoy en el aeropuerto pero no tengo el passaporte. ¿Puedes mirar si lo he dejado en el dormitorio? – Hello Mr./Mrs. Fernandez. I’m Daniel. I’m at the airport but I have no passport. Can you see if I have left it in the bedroom?
Ex. Ya hemos limpiado tu dormitorio, y no hemos encontrado nada. ¿Te acuerdas de cuándo lo tenías por última vez, y dónde? – We’ve cleaned your bedroom, and have found nothing. Do you remember when you had it last time, and where?
Tú: Estoy seguro de que lo tenía ayer cuando estuve en el banco, luego fui a comprar regalos. Compré una camiseta para mi hermano y una bufanda de Real Madrid para mi padre. – I’m sure it was yesterday when I was in the bank, then went to buy gifts. I bought a shirt for my brother and a Real Madrid scarf for my father.
Ex. ¿Cómo los pagaste? Porque si los pagaste con tarjeta de crédito, imagino que tuviste
que mostrarles tu pasaporte, ¿no? – How do you pay? Because if you paid by credit card, I imagine that you had to show your passport, right?
Tú: Sí, ahora me acuerdo. Se lo di a la dependienta en la tienda de recuerdos que está en la esquina de la plaza mayor. – Yes, now I remember. I gave it to the cashier in the gift shop that is at the corner of the square.
Ex. Iré allí enseguida y lo mandaré en taxi al aeropuerto. – I’ll go there right away and send a taxi to the airport.
Tú: Muchísima gracias. ¿Es posible que el taxista me lo traiga al mostrador de facturación de lberia? – Thanks a lot. Is it possible for the driver to come e to the Iberia
check-in desk?
Ex. Por supuesto. – Of course.
