Did lady macbeth had a child? As it says that she has given milk but there is no reference on macbeth having a son or daughter?

Where am I?

She had at least one kid at some point: "I have given suck, and know how tender 'tis to feed the babe that milks me." But Macbeth has no kids- he says so ("no son of mine succeeding"), as does Macduff ("he has no children.") The details are up to the actors and director- she had kids from a previous marriage, her child with Macbeth didn't survive; who knows? I find it useful in performance to imagine that their only child died and that it's still a sore spot for them; that tells us that she's really bringing out the big guns when she mentions her child as a persuasion tactic.
