Spreading Christianity in Ireland

By the third century AD, the roman empire had spread as far as England and was mainly Christian.

In AD 431, when a bishop named Palladius was sent to Ireland to spread the Word of God and convert the Irish people.

However, he failed to convert Ireland into Christianity as he didn't know the language and was foreign.

But in AD 432 St Patrick came and spread Christianity into Ireland. He knew the language and was very patient and took his time with God helping him on the way. He used a shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity and baptised thousands in Ireland.
